My little (big!) "large marge", Pebbles, the Pug, has been a gift to our family since we picked her at at the Richard's farm in 2007 at Thanksgiving. She was only 7 weeks old and I fell in love with her immediately. Took her to my daughter's home for a few days during the Holiday and brought her home on the plane in a tiny little carrier on my lap. Pebbles has grown into a pretty large "marge" pug --- bigger than most pugs -- and is such alot of fun and love. I am now getting ready to adopt a Westie from the Richards so Pebbles can have a pal and playmate at home. The Richards are definately helpful and patient with all my questions. I have had my Westie, Lucy, for almost 6 months. I purchased Lucy right before Christmas and what a present she has been. Lucy has a great personality and outstanding temperament. She must remember her colder weather in Colorado,because when it warms up here in San Diego, as soon as the fridge opens, she jumps in and sits down on the little ledge. My experience with adopting Lucy from the Richards family was very pleasant. They answered my numerous questions and made me feel at ease with putting Lucy on a plane to fly her to her new home. I know I will definitely adopt again from the Richards, they truly care about their puppies and I highly recommend them to anyone looking for a new 4 legged child. Lucy is a lovely addition to our family. She loves her Westie Brother and Beagle Sister. Thanks Richards Family!!!

l just want to say Thanks to Landon @ Dana we recently purchased a Westie puppy and we named him Taz he is such a joy.full of Energy, very Loving, he is a God Send loves to Play and does his 5 laps around the back yard, was laughing so hard just watching him have a blast. l would Highly Reccomend buying a dog from Landon@ Dana.

In late August, my husband and I made the trip from Denver to pick up Ziggy, our Westie. From the moment we picked him up we could tell he would be a good boy. Ziggy has an outstanding temperament. He is smart (too smart sometimes), loves to play, and is very independent. Our experience with Dana and Landon could not have been an easier. We look forward to some day working with the Richards family again when it is time to add to our canine family.

We could not be happier with our new Coton De Tulear puppy, Tug! He is the sweetest dog and has an outstanding temperment. Over the years we've gotten two adorable pugs (Daxter & Rudy) from Landon & Dana. They are so fun-loving, sweet, gentle, and silly. We don't even remember what life was like before them - they are vital members of the family and light up our lives every day. Everywhere we go, people always comment on how beautiful they are. They are a couple of shining stars! Thanks to Landon & Dana for some great advice and lots of patience! ;-)

It has been 5 weeks now since me,my son and my good friend drove out to burlington from aurora to buy an older pug (Ned) who now is our wonderful sweet boy skooter! He is very sweet and already knows to sit,shake,stay and come. he has been a blessing to our family. I would most definitly buy or adopt from Dana and Landon again! Karli is the cutest and most well behaved puppie ever! She is only 7 months old and already can sit, stay and come with me only using hand gestures. Landon and Dana helped assure my family about my little westie and they made it easy for me to pick them as the breaders for a new family member. We absolutely love our Lily, our black female pug. She has become a great companion for our fawn pug, Charlie. She LOVES going to the dog park and finding the biggest dog to play with and roll around in the dirt. She certainly does not stay black for long. We continue to get compliments on how good looking she is every time we take her anywhere. She KNOWS that she's BEAUTIFUL! We drove from the Boulder area to pick up our fawn pug Spanky in October of 2008. It's hard to believe our little guy is now 6 months old. Everyone complements us on him, noting that he has excellent pug features (lots of wrinkles!). Spanky is a real sweetheart and a very loyal little dog. He adjusted to our family very easily, and slept through the night (in his crate) by his third night in our home without needing to go outside to go potty. (He was 9 weeks old at the time) Many thanks to the Richards! They are excellent breeders.

I wish to thank Dana and Landon for the best dog ever.. After owning 3 dogs that turned out to be ill and that I lost (they were rescues) I was blessed with Bubba. The most wonderful Shi
Tzu!!! He is healthy, willing to do what ever is asked and a joy to live with. Everyone I know who have met him adore this little guy. As a somewhat disabled senior I can no longer keep up with the Westies that I love so much and Bubba is the blessing of my life right now.. He is a great quality dog both in appearance and in personality.. What a gem.. Thank you Landon and Dana.. I will send people Iknow to you that are looking for a dog..
The cleanliness of this facility blew mw away. I could have eaten off the kennel floor. Dana and Landon are very proffesional and attentive to their animals. If anyone out there is looking for a breeder to buy a dog from,these folks are it!!!

In October 2008, we got a beautiful baby boy pug(Muggs) from Landon and Dana. We drove all the way from the Denver area, and it was worth every mile. He is now 5 1/2 months old, healthy, happy and full of energy.
I must say that the kennels were MOST impressive. They were spotless!! I will buy my next dog from them as well.

Three years later (I can't believe it's been that long already!) after bringing home our "baby" Westie, Sara, she's just as sweet and as smart as can be. She's now around 16 pounds and is VERY affectionate and playful. She and her Bernese Mountain Dog "sister" Sasha (born 1 month before she was) are inseparable--it's really great to see them get along so well! We've moved from Colorado to Arizona just over a year ago and Sara is really enjoying the warmer weather and trying to get to the bunnies that always seem to be out. If we are ever going to get another Westie in the future we'll be back to Paws and Claws Kennels!

As Christmas comes to an end, I can't help but look at my new puppy and think about how fortunate I am to have found the Richards. I searched the internet for months before I found Paws and Claws in Burlington. After coming to the kennel, I was thrilled to purchase a coton de tulear puppy. Not only was the dog beautiful, I felt comfortable with Dana, Landon and their lovely family. The facilities were clean, well maintained and cared for. My new puppy is a top quality coton, with a fantastic personality to match. As this was my first puppy purchase, I had a lot of questions and concerns after buying my little coton. However, Landon and Dana went out of their way to accomodate my needs and answer my every question. I couldn't recommend the Richard's kennel any more, they are great dog breeders, but most of all they are great people. Thank you Landon and Dana!

The pride, care, love and effective socialization techniques Dana and Landon pour into their puppies is invaluable.
This is the second time I've adopted a puppy from a breeder and the first time from Paws 'N Claws. The difference is amazing. My last dog was great, but did not adjust to training and socialization nearly as quickly and well as my puppy from Paws "n Claws.
In less than a week at home my new Westie, "Neo," knew his name, how to sit, stay, come and became about 80% adapted to potty training. Beyond this, I would credit his loving sweet personality as much to how he was raised in his first few weeks with Dana and Landon as I would to his breed.
I couldn't have hoped for a more well adjusted, happy, smart, loving, adorable puppy. If you're considering getting a puppy from a breed that Dana and Landon offer then you shouldn't even consider getting the puppy from any other breeders.
When it comes to breeding, Dana and Landon are simply the best.

We brought our Coton de Tulear, “Mishka” home in August of ‘08. He is now 6 months old and perfect, of course! His personality is a “10”. This is truly an amazing breed. The joy he brings to our home is priceless. Dana and Landon were wonderful to work with. They were always available and willing to answer any questions that we had. This was our first time getting a puppy and we had several concerns. After visiting their facility and meeting the puppies and their parents, it was obvious how loving, caring and professional they both were. The kennels were spotless, and their dogs were healthy and treated like family. We just adore our funny, lovable, smart, cuddly little guy. Everywhere we go, Mishka puts a smile on someone’s face.
I would highly recommend anyone looking for a puppy to give Dana and Landon a call. Thanks again. You guys are fantastic!

We got our Westie Reagan on Fathers Day 2008. He has been a blessing to us and our family. He is great with our grand children and loves to be with other dogs. His health has been perfect. As advertised he is strong willed but with determination and obience training he is becoming the perfect dog. We got our "little fat man" from Dana and Landon in March of this year. I had never gotten a puppy from a breeder before, but Dana and Landon were amazing! Landon was always available to answer my questions by phone or by email. Dana sent me pictures of Tango on a weekly basis and I felt as if I was truly able to watch my little man grow until the day we were able to bring him home. We drove out to the kennel with our other pug and were presented with a rolly poly happy 8 week old boy. We even got to meet Daisy and Freddy, Tango's parents. It's been 6 months since we brought Tango home but we feel as if he's been part of our family forever. He's happy, go lucky, and incredibly lovable. He adores every one and is now a hefty, 20lb ball of energy. Thank you, Dana and Landon, for all the hard work and care you put into raising and breeding quality, lovable pups. Dana and Landon really do give you a part of their family when you bring home one of their puppies. If I ever decide to get another dog in the future, you can bet the only place I'll go is to Dana and Landon.

Landon and Dana are absolutely wonderful breeders to know! Their facility is beautiful and very clean; their dogs are well taken care of. Our new Westie, MacKenzie, is from the May 3rd litter and couldn't be a better puppy! She came from a very loving home and is incredibly well-adjusted to her new surroundings. Well, we came back again! We brought home our first westie, Petunia, from the Richards in April. I guess we felt our lives weren't crazy enough with 3 children, and a new puppy, that we came back for another one. Lily (another westie) joined our family a couple of weeks ago. Watching the two of them play has become our favorite past time. We highly recommend Dana and Landon to anyone considering a new puppy. It was a fantastic experience both times! They obviously take great pride in their work. It shows in their pups and in their adult dogs. Our puppies are happy, healthy, cuddly, and crazy!! #3....who knows??

I have been meaning to write before now…….but life gets in the way. We picked up Tula “aka Lucy” March 1st, 2008. She is about the cutest, smartest, funniest puppy I have ever seen. We love her and I can say she loves us! We really appreciate all the hard work the Richards family put into the puppies and waiting parents. It's been almost two weeks since we brought home our little Westie, Petunia. She has settled in to her new home as if she's lived here forever. She was sleeping through the night almost immediately, and is doing fabulous with her potty training. Her personality is so loving, cuddly, and playful. It's a joy to watch her romp around our yard with our 3 girls! Our experience with adopting from the Richards was great! They were always kind and never minded my relentless emails of questions. We are so thrilled with our experience, I have already contacted Dana to adopt a playmate for Petunia! My family would highly recommend the Richards to anyone looking for a new furry family member.
